an easy read and full of great reminders on how to manage

I'm staring at a book shelf FULL of books on sales management and leadership and can't see one (except maybe my all time classic favorite Zig Ziglars secrets of closing the sale) that I would want to read again. In the 3 weeks that I have had Jeff's book I have read it twice. Read sections to others and made a bunch of notes to myself and referred back to it...
It is well organized and full of practical and very real advice for sales managers and leaders. Thanks Jeff -

Everyone Needs A Great MENTOR (BOOK)!

Jeff Lehman's third edition and very easy-to-read book opens with a wonderful piece of sage advice: "Your manager is either your mentor or tormentor. If they aren't working for you, they are working against you--get out as soon as you can!" The vast majority of sales "how-to" books are focused only on the mechanics of the sales process, itself. Jeff's book, however, is specifically addressed to personally guiding the sales person/sales manager [new or seasoned]. He gives a whopping 365+ practical career-advancing tips and real life insights on true sales leadership. The format is excellent with "mega tips," "top tips," "true stories" and highly realistic "hypothetical case studies" covering 22 major areas of sales management. Included are such salient topics as recruiting, sales training, motivation, managing yourself and [even!] the highly practical reality of how to work for a difficult/bad CEO. Jeff Lehman's third edition is yet another major contribution to those rare tools so vital for successful careers in selling and sales management. As an experienced corporate sales/marketing manager [25+ years of field experience], I am extremely pleased to have used several of Jeff Lehman's titles as required reading in my various sales courses at a major state university.
